29 December 2007: Reunion and Acquaintances

This third day is designed so that we can all re-acquaint one with the others and spend a bit of time together, old friendships can be renewed and new ones can develop – in a word, so that we don’t get our own separate ways when the ball is over thinking that we have not had the time to talk with anybody, as is the case for so many meetings, weddings or others…
You will find here-under the day’s planning as we envision it.
Breakfast and/or Brunch:
bullet As we will have all gone to bed late, we plan to organize an informal brunch from 11.00 to 14.00 in the gardens adjacent to the Tarn Lod swimming pool. However, by consideration for the needs of the kids and the incurable dawn-lovers, a breakfast will also be available from 7.00 to 10.00 at the Palm Garden Brasserie.
Activities:
bullet Children and teenagers will be offered in the morning a whole set of activities adapted to their respective ages, on the resort’s grounds and/or nearby.
bullet In the afternoon, the whole group will be invited to discover the Naresuan Movie Studios, a few kilometers away from Kanchanaburi. This huge park is hosting reconstructed versions of the old cities of Ayutthaya (ancient capital of Siam) and Yangon (capital of Burma) where great historical sagas of Thai cinema have been shot, starting with the “Legend of Suriyothai” (great 16th Century Siamese queen) and especially the three parts of “Nareasuan the Great” (another great 16th Century sovereign). Open to the public, the studios have been fitted so that the visit is interesting as much as enjoyable: screens show scenes shot in each site, and horse-riding royal guards stride in the streets while Their Majesties’ elephants accompany the visitors in their promenade…

Dinner:
bullet A barbecue and seafood dinner will be organized in the gardens starting from 19.30.
